Course Description:THE222 Systematic Theology II
You are most likely studying this course as a sequel to Systematic Theology 1. If so, you are already aware that both courses use the same textbook: Systematic Theology, edited by Stanley M. Horton. Systematic Theology 2 covers chapters 11-18 of the text. It is not necessary to study the first 10 chapters before undertaking this study. Even if you never take Systematic Theology 1, you are encouraged to read the excellent treatments of basic theological topics of Systematic Theology 1.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
Describe the role of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s sanctification and ministry.
State the biblical position on divine healing, including God’s sovereign will.
Relate the biblical mission and description of the New Testament church to the contemporary church.
Outline the major events of the endtimes, beginning with the second coming of Jesus Christ.
