Course Description: MIN111 Biblical Counseling
Though counseling is something we all do from time to time in our Christian walk, we are not born “natural counselors.” There are counseling skills to be learned just like there are other specific skills you can learn in life. This course is designed to give specialized training and guidance to Christians who desire to give wise, godly counsel to those in need.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
Explain a variety of counseling techniques.
Describe the impact of emotions and mental attitudes on counseling.
Identify ways to counsel people with difficulties
Describe counseling pitfalls and the ways that pastors, pastors’ wives, and lay counselors can overcome them.
